Towards a New Renaissance
The 2027 annual meeting of the Horasis Visionary Circle will convene in Earnewâld, Netherlands, from 3–5 September. The gathering will take place on an island amid the lakes and wetlands of De Alde Feanen National Park.
Under the theme Towards a New Renaissance, a select group of globally influential entrepreneurs, business leaders, and thinkers will explore whether a new period of human creativity and renewal can emerge from today’s profound transformations. The historic Renaissance reshaped humanity’s understanding of knowledge, science, commerce, art and the individual. Today, artificial intelligence, scientific discovery, geopolitical realignment and social change are again challenging established ideas about progress and what it means to be human.
Discussions will range from the state of the world and the global economic outlook to artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, science, the arts and responsible stewardship of wealth. At the heart of the meeting will be a broader question: how can technological and economic progress contribute to human flourishing, creativity and a renewed sense of possibility?
The setting itself will form part of the dialogue. Surrounded by the waterways, reed beds and wetlands of De Alde Feanen, participants will combine intimate working sessions with walks in nature and private boat journeys through the National Park – creating space for reflection, conversation and new ideas away from the pressures of everyday life.
The Horasis Visionary Circle brings together a small community of exceptional global leaders committed to inspiring our future through dialogue, trust and collaborative action. Its annual meeting provides a confidential setting in which members can challenge conventional thinking, build lasting relationships and jointly reflect on the forces shaping our future.
