Global India Business Meeting

28-29 June 2009, Munich, Germany

 

Horasis announced today that the inaugural Global India Business Meeting will be held in Munich, 28-29 June 2009. Co-hosts are the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the State of Bavaria, with VBW (the Bavarian Business Association). The Global India Business Meeting aims to be the foremost annual gathering of Indian business leaders and their global counterparts. The event is open to Chief Executive Officers of the world's leading companies. The event is intellectually supported by a set of partners firms led by the Strategic Foresight Group, Mumbai.

Horasis already hosts the annual Global China Business Meeting – the forth edition will be held in Barcelona, 17-19 November. Horasis - a global visions community committed to enact visions for a sustainable future – provides a unique platform for companies from emerging markets to globalize their organizations. The programmes are structured to provide a maximum amount of knowledge exchange and interaction in a variety of formal and informal settings.

‘The Global India Business Meeting will convene 200 top decision makers from business and government from India, Europe and the rest of the world', said Frank-Jürgen Richter, President, Horasis. ‘The meeting shall help define Indian firms' global growth agenda.'

‘The Global India Business Meeting shall integrate the top decision-makers from all sectors of the Indian economy, aimed at finding strategies to expanding our operations outside India', added Amit Mitra, Secretary General, FICCI. ‘Indian CEOs will meet with their global counterparts to discuss and create new models of cooperation.'

Emilia Müller, Minister of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, State of Bavaria concluded: ‘The government of Bavaria is delighted to co-host the inaugural Global India Business Meeting. Bavaria will serve as important base for Indian firms to explore the European market. Home to respected brands of global reach, Bavaria is the heart of the European hi-tech industries– a natural fit with India 's emerging technology pioneers.'
