Conference organized by the Strategic Foresight Group, supported by Horasis as one of the knowledge partners, Mumbai 26-28 June

An international conference on Responsibility to the Future has recommended ground-breaking ideas for mitigating poverty, climate risks and violence in a
simultaneous and holistic manner. It has also proposed innovative innovations
for overcoming energy, water and food shortages. It has advocated ethical
and responsible approach to investments, value-based education, and the use of information technology to address large-scale humanitarian needs. In brief,
it has provided elements of a blueprint for an inclusive globalization to make
the world peaceful and sustainable. The conference was attended by 250 delegates from 25 countries, including 50 speakers.

Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of India, set the tone of the conference in her inaugural address by calling for inclusive globalizaiton. 'Will the iscoveries of science and increased global wealth be deployed for improving living tandards of the entire global population and for preserving the planet and life on it? How effectively will these challenges and issues be addressed? The pproaches adopted in this regard will be fundamental for the peace, evelopment and sustainability of the future.'
